Ellorie and I attended the Nutcracker in Council Bluffs at the cutest theater. It was a fun night with my girl. Love this tradition!

Savannah turns 18
All she asked for was money and well…that’s boring! So I put out on FB and asked if I had 18 friends who would be willing to Venmo her $18 each in honor of her birthday and I had more than 18.
I don’t think Savannah quite understands just how loved she is here in Omaha. She thinks of the people here as judging her and that is just not the case. I hope she was able to see that. Her grad party was filled with people who value her and her individuality.
No one is judge if her but she has sure judged them. I hope as an adult she moves away from that and into someone who sees people for what they do and not who she perceives them as.

6 month check in on hair
I’m still super thin and losing daily, but not as mulch as before.
I started Rogaine a little over a week ago so we will see how works in a couple months.
Got lab work done for hormones and thyroid. Will see what that tells me.
First Day of school 2022
Only two left and they both are in middle school this year. Hunter is 5’8” tall and hasn’t even really hit the growth spurt I know is coming. He is a fine young man with a good heart and work ethic. He is a good friend and a strong leader.
Ellorie begins her middle school experience much like Austin did- innocent and sweet. I admit I am nervous about middle school for her. It was such a struggle for Savannah and she bears the emotional scars many girls carry from unhealthy environments. I hope that the lessons I have learned along the way will allow Ellorie to have a better experience.
While I can’t go back and change Savannah’s experience ( and oh the choices I would make differently if I could), I can grow and learn and apply this time around.
My kids are amazing humans. All four are people I admire and would choose to be friends
with because of their many admirable qualities.
Would they choose me? Probably not…the cool kids never did.

Healing from within
This past year I felt as though I have been abandoned by the very people who claimed to love me.
Lies have been revealed. Truths have come to light. Relationships have been redefined. At first I was devastated. I went through a grieving process. I was stuck at the anger stage for a while. My grief nearly destroyed me.
But I am choosing to let it strengthen me. I am of value even if no one else sees it.
I use to ask myself why am I so easy to walk away from? Why do the people who are suppose to love me treat me the way they do? Do I not deserve to be treated better?
No more.
I am choosing to allow my struggles to make me more kind, more honest, and more resilient.

The new Gene Leahy mall
Today we spent a couple hours exploring all the new cool things to do downtown at the Gene Leahy Mall with Chanda Cornish and her girls. It’s pretty gorgeous! Ended the day with Ted & Wally’s ice cream. It was only 100 degrees today!
The 10 virgins
I have always been interested in the parable of the 10 virgins. I find myself in every word of that parable.
At times I am well prepared and my lamp is filled with oil and I am ready to meet the bridegroom. At other times, I am distracted and feel like my lamp is dry and oil is no where to be found.

13 years later…
Today marks 13 years since our family of 5 kneeled across the alter at the temple and we’re sealed together for time and all eternity. Ellorie joined our family after the fact and is known as “born in the covenant” which means she was born sealed to our family.
Regardless of the events that have transpired, the hurts and the heartache, the tears and the fears, the highs and lows these 5 people are my world. I want to spend eternity watching them evolve and become. Whoever they turn out to be, they are mine and that is the single greatest blessing this life has offered me.
Eternity isn’t long enough. I never want to exist without them.

I got to spend an evening with Hunter doing baptisms at the temple. I love the young man he is becoming!
Sister Bringhurst
We have known Haley Bringhurst since she was 4 when we lived in Las Vegas. She was assigned to the church history sites in KC (before she gets sent to Pittsburgh) and Ellorie and I stopped in for a tour with her! She’s doing great and the Spirit is strong! She’s a great missionary!
Cheer Live Tour 2022
For Ellorie’s birthday I got her and I tickets to see her cheer idols in Kansas City! It was a great girls trip! We were super close to her fav Gabby Butler and even got a pic with her mom!
We screamed and clapped and fangirled for two hours straight! It was unforgettable!
