I made the kids write all their own Valentine's Day cards for preschool. Good practice writing.
Ellorie only got the E-l-l before she started complaining her name was too long.
This is from her "friend" Bodie. They kind of love each other.

the dog
When we brought this dog home, I knew it would be mostly me taking care of it. I thought that after 6 weeks I would grow to love him like so many other people do. I thought I would ask myself, "Self, how did we manage all these years without a dog!"
Alas, that is not the case. I will put up with him because my kids love him occasionally. I will take care of him because I know he is Ben's dream dog. I will take him for walks, and buy him treats because he is a member of our household and I am responsible for him. But I don't think I will ever love him.
Today he is driving me nuts!! He is worse than another kid. I am guessing he will live for 10-12 years, and I will be a good dog owner for those years, but mark my word. He will be our last dog.

Savannah's Valentine Box
You drop the cards in the top behind his very cute face! It must stand 2 feet tall. I am sure her teacher will be thrilled!
snow days
Ben was totally in his element. He has been looking forward to a good snow for years!!! The kids have fun, but it is in short spurts and then its dry the clothes as fast as possible because by the time the cocoa is gone, they're ready to do it all again.
I even got out and shoveled twice. That's my contribution. And I want full credit.
