Women's session

Since last spring when they invited all girls from the age of 8 up to attend the Women's Session of General conference, Savannah and I have made a habit of going to get dinner before hand and being able to spend some time together.  This time we went to Noodles and Co.  I do love spending time with this girl!!

It was cowboy day at preschool and I must say, he makes one fine looking cowboy!!

Austin's stitches round 1

 This is after the stitches, before they got him cleaned up.  4 stitches.

 This is the cut- went all the way to the bone.

This is him getting the shots to numb it up so they could do the stitches.

Here's the backstory- I had send him to bed early cause he was being rude and disrespectful and he was rebelling by not going to bed.  He was in his room playing with a very sharp pocketknife and he came running down to show Ben.  Ben could barely look at it without the color draining from his face.  I was pissed.

I didn't want to take him to the urgent care.  I was mad.  I told him this wouldn't have happened had he listened to me and gone to bed.  But being the A+ mom that I am, I took him.  I'm lucky they didn't call DHS.  Stab wounds have to be reported by law. I know it wasn't a stab wound, but still.

So now I'm tired and playing musical beds all night long wasn't helpful.

Nursing her baby

That is baby Jodybug under her shirt.  She is feeding her "boobie milk."  In the front yard.  Cause that's how we roll.

"dad learned me"

I asked Ell who taught her how to be such a good little mommy and said without missing a beat, " dad learned me how to be a mommy."  No ego stroking with this girl.

it was a good game, but even with all the Hawkeye spirit, the Cyclones still won!!  Go Cyclones!!

hard at work

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to break down and clean out the fridge and find the source of the smell.  Thanks to Hunter, we found it and now its all clean.

rare moment

I can't remember the last time they were this sweet to each other.  It was fleeting, but it reminds me of why I tolerate all the craziness.

Weekend with the Lofthouses

 We weren't on the road 10 minutes when she fell asleep- and she slept til we were 1 mile from our destination!  And we forgot her wankie at home and she did great without it.  Not even one tear, but boy was she happy to see it when we got home.

She was so in love with baby Wyatt.  She must have shoved that paci in his mouth no less than 500 times in the 24 hours we were there.
