Hunter's speech pattern has been the source of countless bouts of laughter in this house.
Here's a couple I don't want to forget-
1. When our neighbors, Kandy and Dave Leslie gave us their grandson's Power Wheels four wheeler Hunter was barely 2. The grandkids names are Victoria and Nick. So Hunter, who couldn't say Nick or Vic called them both Dick. Thus, he called the four wheeler his Dick Wheel. I can't even type that without giggling.
2. When he gets frustrated and doesn't want to do something he says, "I can't do it, its too EASY!"
3. I know I already wrote this one down somewhere, but I loved it when he said, " I can't sit on mine's own lap!"
I will update this list as things come to my mind, but these for sure needed to be recorded for us to laugh at for years to come.

Worry warts
You all know me well enough to know that I am a worry wart. Enough said.
From the age 4-6, Austin use to make himself throw up from anxiety and worrying. He out grew it or just adjusted to all the chaos as we haven't had a bout of it since 1st grade.
Savannah has been complaining about a stomach ache for about a month now. It usually shows itself at bedtime and first thing in the morning, but not always. At first I didn't give it any attention, but lately its been everyday and because I am said worry wart, I finally took her in. I knew they wouldn't find anything, but I needed her to feel like I was taking her seriously.
The Dr basically told me that its normal for girls between the ages of 8-11 to have these. Its usually caused by stress or anxiety or worrying. It mainly occurs in girls who are over achievers, who are busy, who feel like they are under pressure. I don't have any idea what she is stressing about, but it makes me worry that she's worried.
We are both gonna give ourselves an ulcer worrying over why she's worrying. I am going to make an extra effort to talk with her everyday and really find out how she's doing and see if that extra one on one time helps. It is hard to be one of four kids, it hard to feel special, its hard to feel valued when there is another child who requires more attention due to age or personality or diabetes.
I will let you know it goes.

candle light
We had so much fun last night. The kids raved about the chicken madeira and Austin was over the moon about the lava cakes. Hunter was disappointed becasue he thought they would erupt like a volcano, so they were anticlimatic for him. It was a great night followed by a wonderful surprize.
Ben designed this ring for me. I love it!!!

comforting words
“When the real history of mankind is fully disclosed, will it feature the echoes of gunfire or the shaping sound of lullabies? The great armistices made by military men or the peacemaking of women in homes and in neighborhoods? Will what happened in cradles and kitchens prove to be more controlling than what happened in congresses? When the surf of the centuries has made the great pyramids so much sand, the everlasting family will still be standing, because it is a celestial institution, formed outside telestial time.” ― Neal A. Maxwell.
liquor store
I don't know why, but I felt just a little naughty leaving the liquor store last night with my bottle of Madeira wine in a brown paper bag. I am making Chicken Madeira for our annual Valentine's candlelight dinner this year!
Molten Chocolate cake
http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/07/molten-chocolate-lava-cake/
This is the recipe and it doesn't disappoint! I love it when what I cook looks exactly like the pics on the recipe! I was planning on making a raspberry puree to go with, but I am the only person with such sophisticated taste, so I opted not to. Instead I am going to warm them back up, sprinkle some powdered sugar over them and serve them with ice cream! Yummo!!

Love notes
Found these in Savannah's backpack. The funny thing is this kid, Andy, is about half Savannah's height and best friends with our next door neighbor, Hudson. She better get use to it, she's gonna have lots of boys who LOVE her.
